EGrammar Unit 16 - Have and have got
We can use "have got" rather than "have" alone. "Have" and "have got" means possess, own, etc.
- We have a new car.
- We have got a new car.
- Nancy has two sisters.
- Nancy has got two sisters.
- I have a headache.
- I've got a headache.
- Do you have an money?
- Have you got any money?
- I don't have any money.
- I haven't got any money.
For the past we use "had" (without got).
- Ann had long blond hair when she was a child.
- Did they have a car?
